Businesses generate a tremendous amount of paper documents, ranging from office memos to employee and tax information. Many documents must be retained for a period of time (see Records Retention Schedule), while others can be discarded at any time. Many documents contain confidential information that must be kept private. The only way to insure privacy is to securely destroy the documents. In particular, documents with confidential data should not be kept past their retention period. A regular schedule of secure document destruction is necessary for proper records management.
All American offers a comprehensive one-vendor solution to your paper and product destruction needs. We send our secure truck to your location to collect all types of paper waste that we bring back to our secure shredding facility. We provide you with high volume secure carts or consoles that our drivers pick up when needed and replace them with empty ones. Our services are scheduled at regular intervals or may be requested as required, including one-time file purges. We also provide a drop-off location by appointment.
Many industries are facing new, more stringent, regulations that govern the retention and destruction of documents that affect personal information. Our document destruction process complies with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPAA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB) and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA).
